First and foremost, my name is Gus Knorr, and I am a student at Western Kentucky University majoring in Computer Information Technology. I was born and raised in southeastern Wisconsin, but have lived in Gallatin, Tennessee, which is located about a half an hour northeast of Nashville, for the past three years. It has been an enjoyable experience living in a different state, and while there have been elements that I miss about living in Wisconsin, such as being able to watch every Packers game on local TV, there are other aspects that I don’t miss as much, like having to drive in snow for more than a few days a year.

After graduating from Elkhorn Area High School in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, I studied as an undergraduate at Marquette University, which is located in Milwaukee. I majored in Broadcast and Electronic Communication, primarily emphasizing in radio broadcasting. Following my graduation, I moved to the Nashville, Tennessee area, where I began working for the radio station WQKR, located in Portland, Tennessee. I began as a board operator, where I ran the soundboard during remote events, such as high school athletic contests and church broadcasts. After a few years, I was promoted to the Co-Manager of Operations, and in this role, I set up equipment on-site for remote broadcasts, and ensure that there are no technical problems. In addition to this job, I also work for a UPS hub located in Nashville.

However, two years ago, I felt that it would be beneficial for me to study an additional field, and as someone who has had a long history of using computers, I enrolled at Volunteer State Community College as a Computer Information Technology major with an emphasis in programming. I graduated with an Associate of Applied Science degree in May 2017, and after this, I continued my education in an online program offered by Western Kentucky University.

This is just a basic overview of my academic and professional history in recent years, though if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. My phone number is (262) 215-3260, and my email address is
